Official Fees Updates: Increase in Australian Official Fees

A new fee schedule will be introduced in the Australian Patent Office starting 1st October 2024, raising official fees for many actions. Most official fee increases will be within A$50-A$100, but patent opposition costs will double under the new fee schedule. Excess claim fees will be introduced at issuance of the examination report (versus at the time of grant) for examination requests made after 1st October 2024.
